Morning News TV Spot Brags About Old News

A new television commercial touting the business section of The Morning News mentions several stories that were published first in the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. Although they didn’t break the stories, the Springdale-based Morning News did publish them afterwards.

Then, the woman in the commercial tells her water-cooler colleagues that she stays on top of business by reading Ethan Nobles’ column on Sundays. At about the time the commercial began airing in late October, Nobles gave notice that he was quitting his job at The Morning News and moving to Little Rock.
