KFSM?s New Graphics: It?s About Time

We were happy to see that KFSM-TV, Channel 5, unveiled new graphics on Oct. 19. The CBS affiliate’s set designs and graphics had seemed a bit dated for years, and the two competing stations had unveiled glitzier graphics way back when. KFSM’s new look is a considerable improvement over the old.
KFSM’s new graphics were designed in cooperation with the graphics department at its sister station, WNEP, the ABC affiliate in Moosic, Pa. But the new look was created exclusively for KFSM, said Dale Cox, the station’s news director.
The new graphics include images from both Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley to help establish KFSM’s “commitment” to cover the entire 11-county television market, Cox said. The new look is also an effort to reinforce KFSM’s status as Arkansas’s first television station (going on air in 1953).
