KFSM Hires New Anchor

KFSM-TV, Channel 5, announced on Oct. 8 that it had hired Tim Malone to anchor the three weeknight newscasts from the CBS affiliate’s Fort Smith newsroom. He will join Bridget Schultz, who will serve as co-anchor from the television station’s Fayetteville newsroom.

Malone worked for four years as a television reporter at KFDA, the CBS affiliate in Amarillo, Texas; eight years as news anchor and news director of WOTV in Kalamazoo, Mich.; and a year as a reporter and anchor for WVEC in Norfolk, Va. (both ABC affiliates).
