Fort Smith will apparently soon have another prominent building in the works downtown.
Bill Hanna’s firm Hanna Oil & Gas Co. plans to build a $3.24 million, two-story office building at 520 Parker Ave. That’s the former site of the Old Fort Biscuit Factory that had to be torn down.
The 18,265-SF project, which sits adjacent to the national cemetery and Hanna’s current office building, could free up some of Hanna’s existing space for lease. Breshears Construction Inc. of Fort Smith won the “GC” job and work is expected to begin soon.
