The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce has started a Young Professionals Task Force. The 12-member group will meet for the first time on Nov. 8 to identify ways in which young professionals can get involved, said Jessica Young, the Chamber’s director of membership and communications. Young said Chamber President Bill Ramsey approached her with the task force idea after hearing so many suggestions from other members.

In last five years, Young said, about one-third of the Chamber membership has become professionals under age 40. The task force will include an equal mix of male and female members mostly from 20- to 40-years-old.

“We want to find out what they are looking for to grow their businesses and networking groups,” Young said.
