Butler Broadcasting Co. of Fayetteville has sold two Spanish-language radio stations to Davidson Media Group of New York City in a $3.9 million deal.

Butler sold KREB-FM 99.5, in Fayetteville and KCZZ-AM 1480, of Mission, Kan., to Davidson. Butler owned KREB-FM outright and owned 25 percent of KCZZ through HMEB Communications.

President Stephen Butler said selling the two stations will allow him to pay off all the debt on his three other stations — KXNA-FM 104.9, KREB-AM 1190 and KFFK-AM 1390.

KREB-FM will be the first station in the Northwest Arkansas market for Davidson Media Group, which is led by President Peter Davidson. Butler said the call letters for the FM station will be changed so it isn’t confused with KREB-AM. Butler Broadcasting will operate the station for Davidson.
