As usual, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette won first place in the large daily category for general excellence from the Arkansas Press Association followed by The Morning News of Springdale and Southwest Times Record of Fort Smith.
But what about the business reporting awards?
The D-G won for best business coverage. The Benton County Daily Record and The Morning News ranked No. 2 and No 3, respectively, which says a lot about the thriving business climate in Northwest Arkansas.
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal isn’t a member of the APA, so our business coverage wasn’t judged in the awards competition. The awards were announced at a banquet in mid-July.
