Bentonville trucking software firm, Strategy Systems has been targeting the large segment of small trucking fleets with the 2003 release of its Internet-based Strategy Live! software. Already, the firm formerly known as Strategic Concepts has picked up 135 subscribers.
Dave Stevens, the company’s vice president of sales, said the product helps small- to medium-sized trucking firms manage fleets and track shipments without investing in hardware and software. A subscriber with 10 rigs will pay about $150 a month for the service, he said.
The company has been marketing Strategy Live! on the Internet at places like the search engine Google. He said the software is a graphical interface, much like a Web page, and allows users to tie the accounting parts of their business with commonly used QuickBooks software.
