The Arkansas Venture Forum announced the seven companies that will present at the third-annual Arkansas Venture Capital Conference in Little Rock. None of the companies are from Northwest Arkansas, which typically makes a strong showing at the conference.

The companies, seeking investors for development and expansion, were chosen by a panel of investment professionals who said all demonstrated potential.

Watt Gregory of Kutak Rock LLP, co-chair of the conference, stated in a recent release: “We are pleased with the quality and diversity, both in industry and location, of the deserving ventures chosen for this year’s conference.”

Among them are two companies — Stage One Diagnostics LLC and DCV Technologies Inc., both of Little Rock — that are part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ technology incubators.

The conference will be held April 13 and 14 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. It is hosted by the AVF, which was created in 2001 and includes business leaders from across the state.
