Tom Hayes of Little Rock’s Legacy Capital Group LLC recently pulled off a major coup in Benton County.

One of the largest corporate benefits firms in Arkansas, Legacy lured Raymond Raphael away from Benetec Inc. of Arkansas where he was a top producer in Rogers. Hayes, Legacy’s vice president of corporate benefits, said Legacy recently opened a 2,000-SF office in Bentonville, and he expects that business to expand within the next 24 months.

Hayes said he expects to add two additional employees to the Bentonville office within the next two months.

Legacy, a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly traded National Financial Partners Corp., is a joint venture between the Arkansas entity and Legacy Capital Group California Inc. The two are operated separately but use integrated resources to maximize performance for clients.

Legacy does estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, benefits consulting and designs, and delivers benefits programs, related technology and human resources tools. That means it does everything from 401Ks to group medical and dental plans, flexible medical spending accounts and even the new Health Spending Accounts.

Its core clients are typically mid-sized with 250 to 2,000 employees.

Legacy has 19 employees statewide and more than 120 commercial clients in Arkansas and 35 other states.
