Some details about the luxury apartments planned for The Pinnacle Group’s Shops at Market Street development in Rogers have come to light. The development will fill the original location west of Interstate 540 left bare when the Pinnacle Promenade ballooned and was floated across the highway to Perry Road and I-540.

The new 300,000-SF mixed-use Shops development could have up to 50-60 apartment units at 800-1,200-SF each planned for the top of the retail buildings. Construction on the first 60,000-SF building in the Shops at Market Street should begin in June.

Pinnacle group spokesman John George said that the group wanted to address the area’s need for corporate housing. And get this … Pinnacle Promenade also has slated some space for apartments atop two 16-story office towers planned for there.

The Promenade, touted as a “lifestyle mecca,” will be southeast of the site where Mercy Health Systems plans to build its new 500,000-SF hospital and designs are in the works to add interstate access ramps at Perry Road.

The group is led by principals J.B. Hunt, Tim Graham, Robert Thornton and Bill Schwyhart.
