Kids for Health Wins CCF Grant

With its new emphasis on education and health, Springdale-based CommunityCare Foundation announced its first grant of 2004 has gone to the Kids for Health, a health education program for children. CCF is providing $67,500 in the grant to Kids for Health for 2004 and the program is slated for an additional $138,000 in grants over an additional three years.
The money will fund the group’s new School-Based Lifestyles Initiative, which will deliver health education programs to Benton County elementary schools, translate materials to Spanish and professionally produce more Kids for Health video curriculum.
