Gary Combs said it looks like a 150-room hotel will be coming to his $220 million Rogers project, The Peaks. He isn’t disclosing the brand just yet, but it will most likely be a six-story facility that gets under way in the next 45 days.

Developer Collins Haynes is planning a 40,000-SF retail vendor/professional office building at The Peaks, and the word is a major tenant is already in the works. Another hotel is a possibility for another hot property associated with Combs, Rainbow Junction LLC on Southwest Walton Boulevard in Bentonville. But that deal has yet to be consummated.

Chambers Bank of Danville also plans a foray into the market with its first Northwest Arkansas branch, which is set to locate at The Peaks. The 33rd bank to enter the local market, Chambers Bank had $420.9 million in assets and $307.5 million in deposits as of Dec. 31.

Chambers Bank is owned by Chambers Bancshares Inc. of Danville, which also owns Community Bank of Northwest Arkansas. Community Bank has $227.7 million in assets and eight locations.
