Arkansas National Bank of Bentonville donated $50,000 to Rebuilding Together of Northwest Arkansas on March 11.

“What ANB is doing is putting us three or four years ahead of the game,” said Joe Mills, president of RTNWA in a released statement. ANB is in its second year of a three-year committment to RTNWA.

Rebuilding together is a local affiliate of a national Washington, D.C., organization that consists of more than 250 affiliates serving 865 communities in the United States. Now in its second full year of operation, the group seeks to preserve and revitalize houses and neighborhoods in Northwest Arkansas and ensure housing for low-income homeowners such as the elderly, disabled and families with children.

In 2003, the group refurbished a total of eight area homes in two separate weekend Rebuilding Day events with more than 300 volunteers.
