Forty Under 40: Mike R. Philip
Mike Philip earned his real estate license in 1999 and began working for Re/Max Associates in Fayetteville. In 2002, he formed his own company, Philip Real Estate Services Inc.nSince then, the Fayetteville native has moved steadily up the sales charts, ranking No. 14 in Northwest Arkansas in total 2002 sales volume with $13.8 million and moving up to No. 6 with $17.8 million in 2003. He also ranked No. 17 statewide in 2003.nPhilip said the highlight of his career has been being able to retain satisfied clients.n”I learned that if you focus your goals on monetary achievements, you fail,” Philip said. n”If you focus your goals on service standards, providing above and beyond service, the monetary aspect takes care of itself.”nPhilip said his family motivates him to be successful and his long-term goal is to be a great father to his four children and a man of his word.n”I find that achieving those daily is one of life’s great challenges,” Philip said.nHe is active in Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell. His advice to up and comers is, “Focus on the correct priorities, God, family. If your relationship is strong with those, your standards of work performance will follow.” n
