Forty Under 40: David Erstine
Although he earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from the University of Arkansas in 2001, David Erstine was working on his career in real estate while he was still in college. The Stuttgart native began developing the biannual market reports now known as the Reed Report while working as an intern for Tom Reed in 2000. He got his real estate sales license as a student and earned his broker’s license in 2002. nIn 2003, he formed Real Estate Market Data Inc. with co-owner Reed, who also owns appraisal company Reed & Associates Inc. The company’s primary focus is to supply financial institutions, property owners/managers and real estate professionals with market information. He considers Brian Shaw, a commercial broker with Irwin & Saviers Co., a mentor.n”He’s very humble and honest and has always wanted me to accomplish things,” Erstine said.nErstine also finds inspiration in stepfather Glen Bauman’s community service efforts in his hometown. Erstine said his long-term goals include starting a family and becoming the “best dad” by the time he turns 40.nErstine is active in the American Heart Association and was a member in Class 16 of the Leadership Fayetteville program.
