The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County has plans to relocate to Willow Creek Women’s Hospital, but a date on when that move will take place isn’t known. The women’s and maternity specialty hospital is located just off Interstate 540 on Greathouse Springs Road in Johnson. The NICU will be located in space now occupied by Northwest Arkansas OB/GYN Associates in the Willow Creek building. The doctor’s office plans to relocate to a new medical office building on the Willow Creek campus.

Willow Creek, just three years old, is Arkansas’ first hospital for women only. It is part of Northwest Health System Inc.

Northwest Health System is owned by Triad Hospitals Inc. of Plano, Texas. With the purchase of four additional hospitals this year, Triad owns nine hospitals in Arkansas and recently entered into an operations agreement with Sparks Medical Center of Fort Smith.
