New Deal IV Inc., led by Linda Parnell, closed on 8.8 acres to add to their existing 17 acres at the intersection of 28th Street and Walnut in Rogers near the Rogers Bowling Alley. The land was bought from Florida-based GCMN Investments for $340,000. Dale Nichols is the principal behind GCMN. Benton County Abstract wrote the title.r

New Deal apparently plans to build apartment units at that location since the land is currently zoned for multifamily residential.r

Keeping it in the family, Triangle Builder Supply Inc., led by Troy Parnell, father of Linda, also recently closed on 35 acres south of Clear Creek in Johnson. The City of Springdale sold the land to Triangle. Triangle now owns the land south of the creek at I-540 to the railroad tracks or Ball Street in Johnson which adds up to about 130 acres.r

Land Trust Title & Closing Co. wrote a $175,000 title insurance policy for the deal. But the purchase price could not yet be determined because document stamps weren’t properly affixed to the warranty deed.r
