The capture of Saddam Hussein screamed for a gigantic two-word, front-page headline — something like the “Saddam Captured” that the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette used on Dec. 15.
The Morning News of Springdale, on the other hand, gave its readers a much smaller, vague headline that read “Officials Hope Insurgency Weakens.” For a minute, we thought it was just another planning commission story.
