Stooges Slated for Fayetteville Mall

On Nov. 28, Ronnie and Robin Wheat plan to open Stooges, a make-your-own burrito eatery, in the food court of Fayetteville’s Northwest Arkansas Mall.r

The couple had planned to open the restaurant in September in Fayetteville’s Mercantile Building on West Avenue, but Ronnie Wheat said that deal fell through.r

Wheat, who is from Springdale, said Stooge’s will be similar to The Flying Burrito, which opened last summer in Fayetteville’s Reindl Warehouse. Stooge’s is also patterned after Atomic Burrito in Tulsa, Wheat said.r

In addition to burritos, Stooge’s will serve wraps, salads and other items.r

The 409-SF space in the food court was previously home to Lollicup Tea Zone, which Claudia Chan of Fayetteville opened in April 2002 and closed last summer.r

The Wheats, along with Robbie and Sara Dunnahoe, previously owned Ryleigh’s Sports & More in Fayetteville. They sold that business last summer.r
