KHOG: That Coyote Is After You (Opinion)

Remember the noise the Roadrunner made every time he dashed away from Wile E. Coyote in the 1960s cartoon?r

Well, KHBS/KHOG-TV, Channels 40/29, has adopted a similar soundtrack at the beginning of its newscast. An anchor tells viewers what stories will be on the newscast, and the dashing noise is played in between the brief description of each story.r

We don’t know if it’s supposed to make us think reporters are dashing out the door to get the story, but we think it makes the KHOG newscast in general seem a little cartoonish. r
