Alligator Ray?s Still Not Open

Alligator Ray’s Oyster and Daiquiri Bar was slated to open on Oct. 20, but things are a little behind schedule.r

Berry Medeiros, manager of Alligator Ray’s, said he and owner Steve Woodard, both of Clarksville, are shooting for mid-December. At the very latest, Medeiros said, the restaurant will open on New Year’s Eve.r

Alligator Ray’s will be in the 76-year-old Laundry Building in a 4,100-SF space that previously housed Faybles bookstore, which closed, and Metropolis, a hair salon that moved to Reindl Warehouse on West Avenue.r

Woodard owns other Cajun restaurants, a Fat Tuesday’s and Alligator Ray’s, both in Altus. r
