John David Lindsey has built a new obedience and retriever training school in Fayetteville. The school, which includes a hunting retrieving component primarily for Laborador and Chesapeake dogs, was scheduled to open the week of Labor Day.

Lindsey said his school, which doesn’t have a formal name yet, will offer basic obedience training for any breed.

Patricia Higgs, a veteran trainer from Forrest City, will be the head trainer.

The 10-acre facility is north of Mount Comfort Road on West Weir Street and includes three training facilities and a 2.5-acre pond with an island.
