The building that formerly housed Southwestern Electric Power Co. of Fayetteville was recently sold to Sam Mathias of Mathias Properties in Springdale. The $2 million sale closed July 15.

We heard that plans for the 32,000-SF building include a bank and space for upstairs lease space. Nick Wilson of Basset Mix & Associates Inc. brokered the deal. No word yet on what bank may be eyeing the location.
