Susan Rogers is to begin work on Sept. 8 as associate vice chancellor for university relations at the University of Arkansas.

As chief public relations person at the UA, she will replace Roger Williams, who resigned in May to become executive director of the Penn State Alumni Association.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rogers most recently served as a “launch consultant” with the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. She developed and managed a media campaign for the newly opened museum, according to a press release from the UA.

Rogers worked in the development office for Stanford University and as associate vice president for marketing and communications at the University of North Texas. She has eight years of experience as a reporter and editor with The Miami Herald, The Chicago Sun-Times, D Magazine and The Dallas Morning News, according to the UA.
