Tevian Rose saw a need in Northwest Arkansas and filled it. Several years ago she started a branch office for a California-based packaging company. In the process, she recognized the area’s need for a local services liaison. Today, Rose owns and operates the Bentonville-based Suppliers Connection.
Operating out of her home, Rose’s primary goal with Suppliers Connection is to help new people in Northwest Arkansas get connected with the community. The business offers a link to services ranging from establishing offices with equipment and furniture, to setting up the homes of business transplants.
“We’re like the hub of the wheel, not reinventing the wheel. We just connect people while saving time and money,” Rose said.
Rose primarily targets small to mid-sized businesses that are short on time and need local contacts. Rose recently hired Lisa Bohn, a former representative of Sam’s Club, to work with current and potential Wal-Mart suppliers. She expects to bring on at least one other employee.
Proud of her unique business, Rose credits her success to continually being in contact with people from all lines of work.
“We’re trying to connect people to competent businesses that have quality and customer service as their No. 1 priority,” Rose said.
She plans to build a new office facility soon and is shopping locations for that project.
