Triad Hospitals Inc. announced on May 23 that it’s starting a new division that will concentrate on the health care system’s rural hospitals.

The sixth division will be based in Plano, Texas, and report to Dan Moen, Triad executive vice president and CEO of QHR, Triad’s management and consulting subsidiary.

Moen has appointed Kevin R. Andrews division president. He will move from his position as vice president of QHR’s Columbia, S.C., group where he manages 13 hospitals in four states.

Sandra L. Albrecht, CPA, has been appointed the division’s chief financial officer and will lead the new division. Currently based in Brentwood, Albrecht is the associate vice president of QHR’s Ohio Valley group where she oversees 12 hospitals in five states.

Triad owns Northwest Medical Center of Washington County and Northwest Medical Center of Benton County.
