The sign in front of Jim Corter’s business reads, “Big Boys Toys,” but that’s not the name of the business, that’s what he offers.
“It’s stuff you couldn’t afford when you were a kid, but now that you’re older you can afford it,” Corter said about the classic muscle cars he offers at Pinnacle Motor Sports.
The new business specializes in rebuilt muscle cars that Corter grew up loving. Now at 49, Corter said he still likes the cars and especially appreciates those rebuilt to the original factory specifications — “frame-off restorations,” which are automotive restorations to the original condition from the ground up.
He has about 11 cars on display in his 3,500-SF indoor showroom, all of which have had classic restorations. He also offers some used luxury cars that are displayed in front of his dealership on Eighth Street in Rogers.
Corter brings the cars in from all over the United States.
Corter said he’s always been interested in cars and has spent the last 10 years working for a new car dealership but wanted to own his own business.
He’s now working six days a week, but Corter hopes to add a salesperson soon.
Corter declined to say how much he’s invested in the business, but he hopes to get a return on the investment within five years.
