Multiple Interests

At least two other businesses were apparently being operated during 2002 at the same address as Golf Entertainment Inc., the Springdale penny stock (See story, p. 1) embroiled in numerous legal fights.

From January to September 2002, Golf’s headquarters was 1008 Clayton St. in Springdale. After the landlord began eviction proceedings, Golf moved across town to 100 E. Emma Ave. and changed its name to Sienna Broadcasting Corp.

But during the same time Golf/Sienna was operating at the Clayton Street address, so was an entity identified as Utica Foundation and another called Cowboy Xpress, a division of Adventure Marketing.

A review of Washington County records found that Utica Foundation assessed property worth more than $7,000 during 2002. Its primary asset seems to have been a 1992 Mitsubishi Montero valued at $6,700.

According to Internet sites that are no longer accessible, Cowboy Xpress was an advertising and promotional products firm with a Western theme. The Web site listed the company’s address as 1008 Clayton St. in Springdale.

No names of Golf/Sienna executives were used in Utica’s assessment or Cowboy Xpress’ Web site. But a cell phone number given on the property assessment matches one that Golf/Sienna’s chief operating officer, Jim Bolt, used in early 2002.

Cypress Investments Inc., the Clayton Street landlord, filed an eviction complaint against Golf/Sienna in August, citing three months of unpaid rent. But the firm vacated Cypress’ facility just before the complaint was to be heard.
