Income Jumps 264% for Triad Hospitals

Dallas-based Triad Hospitals Inc. reported on Feb. 24 that revenue increased by 10.6 percent for the three months ended Dec. 31. Triad owns Northwest Health System Inc., the parent of Northwest Medical Center of Benton County and Northwest Medical Center of Washington County.
The company reported revenues of $919 million, compared with $831 million for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2001.
Triad said net income was $35.7 million, or 47 cents per share, a 264 percent increase over $9.8 million in the comparable period of 2001.
Triad attributed the earnings increase to more patients and higher fees.
