John Sampier, who left Perry L. Butcher & Associates of Rogers in August 2001 to join Waste Management Inc. in Tontitown, will rejoin PBA on Feb. 3.
Sampier, the mayor of Rogers from 1981-98, will become the general manager of Brownstone Development LLC in Bentonville. Perry Butcher is owner, developer and architect at the planned upscale business community.
Sampier has been serving as governmental affairs manager at Waste Management. He had previously been director of marketing at PBA for two years.
Brownstone is located on Arkansas Highway 12 across from the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. distribution centers. The location will have easy access to both Wal-Mart’s general offices and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport.
Brownstone will eventually include everything from hotels and retail businesses to offices and restaurants.
