AERT Records $11.2M in Sales

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. announced on Jan. 10 that it had unaudited gross sales for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 of $11.2 million. The Springdale company enjoyed a 39 percent increase over gross sales of $8 million from the same period in 2001.

AERT’s unaudited gross sales for the year were $42.8 million, a 26 percent increase over 2001.

AERT also announced it anticipates taking a one-time charge of $847,000 in the fourth quarter related to settlement of outstanding litigation.

Shares of AERT were up 20 cents from $1.24 at close of market Jan. 15 to $1.44 at close of market Jan. 13.

Founded in 1989, AERT has been a leader in the composite lumber industry. It has manufacturing facilities in Springdale and Junction, Texas, converting reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into outdoor decking systems, trim board components, door and window components, and other building products.
