Northwest Arkansas Lifeline entered an informal agreement Nov. 20 to purchase Siloam Springs Lifeline for an undisclosed amount. The buyout will add about 100 clients to the estimated 600 who already receive the emergency response service.

Northwest Arkansas Lifeline is an independent nonprofit organization that’s based in Bentonville and has another office in Springdale. It has two full-time employees, one part-timer and 11 volunteers.

A staff member will man the Lifeline office in the Siloam Springs Hospital Foundation building two days a week. There are no expansion plans to handle the new Siloam Springs office. A formal contract is expected to be signed before the end of the month.
