Morning News Launches Section for Women

The Oct. 6 issue of The Morning News contained a 32-page supplement for women.rHeather Hudgins, the newspaper’s marketing director, said the tabloid-sized supplement, titled “Splurge for Her,” will be published every other month. The next one will be included with the Dec. 1 issue of the newspaper. The supplement will contain stories on beauty, fashion, health and family.r”It’s what every woman in Northwest Arkansas needs,” Hudgins said.rHudgins said the newspaper purchased several television advertisements to announce the launch of “Splurge.”rThe articles in “Splurge” are written by freelancers, not Morning News staffers. The supplement is a product of both the Morning News’ advertising and editorial departments, Hudgins said.
