Groups to Develop Assisted Living Center

Mercy Health System and the Community Development Corp. are expected to announce the opening of an affordable assisted living center for seniors in Bentonville in coming days. It will be the first assisted living center in the state to be classified as “affordable.”
A grant from a national foundation is helping make the center possible. There’s no word yet on the amount of the grant, but sources say only 38 such grants are being awarded nationwide. The center is expected to open in November.
