On the Mark Sports Bar & Grill was scheduled to open Aug. 2 in the Fayetteville building that previously housed Coach’s Sports Grill.

Mark Wright said he purchased the business from Dick Keating and his family.

Wright said he renovated the 6,000-SF building for a month before the reopening date.

“The food is upgraded and we will be open for lunch every day,” he said.

On the Mark will also be open for dinner seven days a week. Hours will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant has four pool tables, 33 television sets and three big-screen TVs.

Wright was general manager for five years at Hugo’s restaurant in Fayetteville before starting his own business.
