Morning News Completes Expansion

The Morning News recently completed a $13 million expansion that included adding two 18-unit Dauphin Graphics M850 press lines, one of which went online in December and the other in May. The new press replaced a 31-year-old, 14-unit Goss Urbanite press.

With the expansion, The Morning News can increase its number of pages it produces and its use of color.

“What these presses really allow us to do is to put out four sections on deadline with a lot of additional color capacity and enough speed to complete the runs before 3 a.m.,” said Tom Stallbaumer, publisher of The Morning News.
