David and Ellen Lewis have listed their 5,456-SF mansion at 1 Mt. Nord St. in Fayetteville for $1.45 million with Lindsey & Associates Inc. The neoclassical white-painted home looks over downtown Fayetteville and is known locally as the Pritchard House.

The landmark, built in 1907, underwent a year of high-end renovations after the Lewises bought it in 1993 for $176,000. The luxury home now features five bedrooms, four bathrooms and lots of wood work.

The Lewises are most likely moving to Massachusetts to be near their six children who live on the East Coast. David Lewis, brother of Bank of Fayetteville Chairman John Lewis, is an investment banker and cofounder of The Alpha Fund.

Lewis said he did not believe the seed-stage venture capital fund would be affected by his departure. So far it’s received between $1 million-$2 million worth of commitments from investors.

Lewis said Alpha hopes to close with its initial investors by the end of September, but some time will be left open after that for some additional venture capitalists.

He pointed out that even without him, Alpha investors will still receive a 33 percent state tax credit and that the fund will maintain a strong local board.
