Pro Con Inc. of Bentonville recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.39 million to construct the second of many buildings to come at one of Bentonville’s newest planned commercial developments.

The latest facility will be a single-story, 17,000-SF building at 105 S.E. 22nd St.

Pro Con comprises Richard Werts of Bella Vista, Ted Fox and Bob Burckart of Bentonville and Brad Davis of Washington, D.C.

The total development will be in the $40 million-$50 million range. There will be about 250,000 SF in all. It is located near the intersection of South Walton Boulevard and 22nd Street, about a mile south of the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. headquarters.

The 39-acre site eventually will have about 40 buildings, most in the 6,000-7,000-SF range.

Werts is the general contractor on the project and will custom build for prospective businesses.

Also, the Bentonville Planning Commission recently approved the addition of another street to run through the development. It will be between Walton Boulevard and “J” Street. Parts of the new street are expected to be completed in 2003.
