Hammons Plans Marriott in Rogers

Hotel mogul John Q. Hammons of Springfield, Mo., announced on Aug. 14 that he plans to build a four-story, 150-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Rogers.
The new hotel will be about 400 yards from the $40 million, 250-room Embassy Suites that Hammons is currently building at Pinnacle Hills.
Construction of the new Courtyard by Marriott is expected to begin by the end of the year and be completed about a year later.
Hammons made the announcement at a “topping-out” ceremony for the Embassy Suites hotel in Rogers that is scheduled to be completed in May.
