Tyson Foods Honored for Vendor Excellence

Darden Restaurants Inc. of Orlando, Fla., honored Tyson Foods Inc. in May by giving the Springdale company its top award for vendor excellence.

Darden Restaurants is the parent company of 1,200 restaurants, including Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones BBQ Sports Bar. Darden Chairman and CEO Joe Lee gave Tyson Foods the award at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago.

“Creative ideas, impressive food presentations and outstanding culinary development is the cornerstone of our partnership with Tyson Foods,” Lee said.

Tyson Foods is a key vendor to all four of Darden’s restaurants.
