Joe McClung put the Eureka Springs Swiss Resort and Visitor’s Center up for sale in June.

McClung took out an ad in The Hotel Journal asking $1.5 million for the 49-room hotel, which has seven spa rooms, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 and Arkansas Highway 23 in Eureka Springs.

McClung told us he is also selling Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen, a 7,000-SF restaurant building at the corner of Highway 62 and Passion Play Road. He wants $750,000 for the restaurant, which can seat 220 diners.

“I have six businesses in town,” said McClung, who is probably best known as the owner of McClung Realty. “I’m just ready to rest.

“I have several other commercial buildings I’m going to get rid of. I might even sell the Flatiron Building if I get in the mood.”

McClung said the Flatiron Building, at the corner of Center and Spring streets, is the “most photographed building in Arkansas.” McClung previously sold part of the building as commercial condo space, but he still owns two floors of the building and The Quilt Shop, which his wife operates. If he puts it up for sale, McClung said, he’ll be asking about $1.3 million for the Flatiron Building.
