The UA’s Genesis Technology Incubator has added two new members to its advisory board to bring the total members to 26.

Washington County Judge Jerry Hunton and Randy Laney, CEO of Mercari Technologies Inc. of Fayetteville and Washington, D.C., officially accepted invitations to join the board at the end of May. Both are active civic leaders and major players in local business.

Hunton is a former state legislator and Laney is a former executive with Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Bob Friedman, director of Genesis and a board member, said 10 recent additions were made both to increase the board’s diversity and to give it an infusion of new blood. Four of the previously reported additions were women.
