Lawyers Ronald Williams, a former vice president and assistant general counselor for Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and Timothy C. Hutchinson, a former Benton County prosecutor and son of U.S. Sen. Tim Hutchinson, recently opened the doors to their private law firm, Williams & Hutchinson Attorneys at Law.
The Rogers firm marks the first time the lawyers have worked together, and Williams said the general practice could eventually specialize in commercial law. However, the partners will take on 50-100 clients and various cases at first, except domestic-relations and criminal-defense jobs.
Williams said it could take up to a year to fully establish the office since the partners started the firm without client lists.
During 16 years as counsel with Wal-Mart, Williams managed employment law, personal injury claims and commercial property contracts.
Williams and Hutchinson spent about $50,000 to equip their 1,100-SF office.
