Staffmark has entered into a strategic partnership with The Call Center School of Nashville, Tenn.

Andrea Edwards, a spokeswoman for Staffmark, said the partnership will help Staffmark’s Call Center Solutions Group operate more efficiently and will provide experts in the event they are needed for consulting.

Staffmark provides call-center staffing in addition to providing workers in a variety of fields. Edwards said call centers are used by many companies to handle telephone calls from customers, make telemarketing calls and to provide e-support.

In 2000, Stephens Group Inc. of Little Rock purchased the StaffMark commercial staffing division of StaffMark Inc. (now Edgewater Technology Inc. of Massachusetts) for $190 million. Stephens lowered the uppercase “M” in the name and has been operating Staffmark as a separate staffing business. (Stephens has also filed suit against Edgewater alleging fraud in the deal.)

Edwards said Staffmark is in the process of moving its corporate headquarters from Fayetteville to Little Rock.

The Call Center School provides training and education services for call center professionals. The school offers traditional classroom courses, a 26-topic Web program titled “The Masters Series in Call Center Management” and a 15-topic self-paced e-learning program for front-line agents entitled “Call Center ABCs.”

Staffmark’s Call Center Solutions Group “provides staffing, recruiting, call center implementation, training, operational analysis and benchmarking,” according to a March 21 press release from the company.
