We saw the recent episode of HBO’s “Real Sports” program that featured Bryant Gumbel interviewing Nolan Richardson, the firery and fired University of Arkansas basketball coach turned “benevolent victim.”

It was very telling to see Richardson’s eyes dart away from the camera when asked about his accusations of racism at the UA. It was also nice to see his pitiful act bomb on the national stage the way it has here off and on for 17 years. No doubt, a few more of the national media know-it-alls who bought into Richardson’s baloney got a better picture of what Arkansas has been dealing with in this hate-filled has-been.

For “The Oppressed One’s” next stop, we suggest a part on MTV’s “Real World,” where viewers could tune in to watch excerpts of Richardson’s daily routine and thoughts. The script would write itself …

“Traffic light turns red in front of Nolan’s Ford Expedition [the city’s racist]. Free tennis shoe comes untied [Nike is racist]. Bird flies by on golf course [Darwin was racist]. Just got $6 million [Fort Knox is racist] …”
