The Dickson Street Diner at 522 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville reopened April 19 under new management. It had been closed since March.

Angela Norwood and Sarah Dunnahoe have bought the business.

Norwood is an executive with the American Heart Association, and Dunnahoe is co-owner of Ryleigh’s on Dickson, a sports and daiquiri bar.

With their Dickson Street clientele in mind, the owners decided to set some unusual hours for the diner — 11-2 p.m.

The menu features burgers, soups and sandwiches. Daily lunch specials include such items as chicken fried steak, chicken gumbo, spaghetti and meatballs and chicken pot pie.

The menu also includes many breakfast items.

Nick Jeffries, Deonna Darnell and Mike Starkey, all of Fayetteville, initially opened the restaurant in April 2001.
