Dan Nabholz resigned April 5 as CEO of Nabholz Construction Co. of Conway, and the board of directors named Bill Hannah as his replacement.

Corporate Vice President Brad Hegeman told the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal that the change in management will “absolutely not” affect the Rogers office. “This will have no impact on our operations,” Hageman said.

Nabholz Construction, founded by Dan’s father, Bob, in 1949, topped the most recent Arkansas Business list of the state’s largest construction companies in total revenue. Its 2001 revenue totaled $285 million. The Rogers office was the largest in the Northwest Arkansas market with $84 million in 2000 revenue.

There are six different divisions of Nabholz — the corporate headquarters in Conway, Little Rock, Fort Smith, Rogers, Tulsa, Okla., and Springfield, Mo. However, they are all under the same ownership of 67 stockholders. The Rogers office is the second largest in the company.

Ron Montgomery is president and Matt Bodisbaugh executive vice president of the Rogers office.

Dan Nabholz will remain on the board of directors and will handle various special projects. He also is exploring other business opportunities outside the company.

Nabholz opened its Rogers office in February, 1990, after purchasing the former Kanark Construction Co..

Hannah, who had been corporate president since 1996, will be the third CEO in Nabholz’s 53-year history. He began his Nabholz career in 1972 as an estimator and held a series of leadership roles with the company in project management, marketing, and business development. He is a past president of the Associated General Contractors of America and American Institute of Constructors. He was named National Constructor of the year in 1984.

Nabholz is licensed in more than 20 states and employs more than 800 people.
