Since opening in January, Central Security Systems LLC has sold and installed about 50 electronic security systems. But co-owner Drew Perry said that’s barely the beginning.

From a 1,000-SF office in Bentonville, the business aims to install security systems for national retail and restaurant chains, local vendors, small businesses and individuals. A small-business owner could expect to pay about $200 for installation and $27 per month for monthly monitoring, Perry said.

Perry and co-owner Mike Krantz’s plan for success includes selling and installing a digital video recorder for commercial use. The technology gives managers and business owners the ability sit at their home computer and look at images shot by their business security cameras. Employees don’t have to change any tapes, and administrators can monitor the camera scenes at any time.

Perry said Central Security Systems already installed one of the Windows-based digital video recorders for Jose’s Mexican Restaurant on Dickson Street.

Opening the business cost about $2,000, Perry said, and five employees staff the office.
