On Feb. 13, the board of directors for the University of Arkansas Genesis Technology Incubator invited young tech guru Jeremy Webb to join their circle. Webb owns IFworld Inc., a strong Internet consulting and service provider headquartered in Fayetteville.

“Jeremy Webb is the prototype of what Genesis is all about,” said John Lewis, chairman of the incubator’s board and president of the Bank of Fayetteville.

“We don’t want to transfer our wealth to other states. We want to keep it here, and wealth today is knowledge,” Lewis said.

Cathy Foraker, regional director of external affairs for Southwestern Bell Corp., and Bootsie Ackerman, executive director of Fayetteville’s Downtown/Dickson Enhancement Project, were also elected to the board.
